Thomas Hill “Tom” Anderson, 48, of Creston, formerly of Glenwood, died April 17, 2011, in McPherson.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Peterson Mortuary, 212 S. Locust St., Glenwood. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Burn Center or Disabled American Veterans.
Thomas Hill “Tom” Anderson, son of Delores (Downing) and Robert Anderson, was born June 8, 1962, in Council Bluffs.
Tom graduated from Glenwood High School in 1980. He earned an associate degree from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.
Tom served in the Navy, Coast Guard and Army National Reserve.
Tom was a third-generation locomotive engineer, employed with Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway.
Tom was a member of Masonic Lodge and Eagles.

Carl Thomas Anderson was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Norwegian immigrants.
